Vi Howley Coatal Path Walk

Join Vi Howley on her South West Coastal Path Walk

Vi Howley is walking the last section of the SWCP from Torcross to South Haven, a distance of 164.5 miles, in April/May next year to raise funds, once again, for Macmillan Cancer Support.

This will be the fourth year Vi has walked the coastal path, and she has so far raised £14,000.  As the last section is that much closer to us, I propose that West Mendip Walkers show their support by joining her on a 14.4 mile linear walk Thursday 2nd May (2019) from Babbacombe to Exmouth. Logistics to be worked-out nearer the time.

Regardless of this proposal, Vi would welcome your support in person, as well as financially, on the coastal path for some, if not all, of the two weeks it will take her to complete the walk. It is ambitious and, as you will see, some sections are severe and strenuous, but there are compensations as the views are often stunning and the walking is rewarding and, at the same time, you will be raising funds for a very worthwhile cause.

Here are the details. Make a note of the dates, and let’s make the fourth and last section of the South West Coastal Path a resounding success in terms of funds raised for Macmillan Cancer Support, and numbers of walkers joining Vi on the journey.
